Placenta Encapsulation

Why encapsulate?
Each placenta contains the mother’s own natural hormones made specifically for her by her.  These hormones have been said to benefit the mother by:
     – Establish a healthy milk supply
     – Balance the mother’s hormones
     – Reduces the risk of postpartum depression
     – Restore iron levels in the blood
     – Prevent “baby blues”
     – Lessen postpartum bleeding
     – Increase energy
     – Replace diminished vitamins and minerals

What is the placenta?
The placenta is an organ created during pregnancy to sustain and protect the growing fetus.

What does it mean to encapsulate?
Encapsulation is the process of drying out the placenta after birth, grinding it down, and placing the powder into capsules for the mother to take during postpartum.
